Seeing videos of pre-production fireworks in China is all very well but nothing beats getting a firework over here and seeing it for real.
Brothers Pyrotechnics are the first of the big UK importers/manufacturers to bring products over for a test firing so far this year.
Whilst seeing what’s new, this year is very important due to the introduction of the products that have to comply with the new CE European legislation. Probably the biggest change is the introduction of the new viewing distance of 8m for all new garden fireworks. The old distance for garden fireworks was 5m and this seriously affected the size and power of the fireworks that were available. The new garden fireworks can fire their effects from tubes upto 30mm in diameter and contain upto 500g of powder, so these are big fireworks. The other major change that manufacturers are having to cope with is the limit of 1kg of powder in a firework. In the past most manufacturers have had fireworks in their ranges that contained more than 1kg of powder in them, so this year you will find display kits containing three fireworks that can be fired individually or their fuses can be linked together to make one giant display. With duration’s around two and a half minutes these fireworks will make fantastic finales for big displays or be the ultimate display in a box for birthdays, weddings etc.
Many thanks to Paul, Cathy, Lynn, Russ and the team who put on a great evening.
For a finale Paul from Brothers fired an intense firework display using their products in around 2 minutes showing you just what you can do with consumer fireworks.
We’ll have the new Brothers Pyrotechnics fireworks for sale when stock arrives in the UK later this year.
