Launch Kontrol Pulse Remote Firing System

The Launch Kontrol Pulse remote firing system is the first truly expandable remote control firing system available to the public at such an affordable price. The system is extremely easy to use but there are some important points that you need to be fully aware of before trying to use the system. First of all you will need a 9 volt Alkaline battery. The battery is a very tight fit in the battery compartment and you will certainly need a flat screwdriver to help remove a battery when you need to replace the battery. Secondly, you will need a cat5 computer cable to operate the firing control board a safe distance away from the fireworks. Any Copper based cat 5 cable will do but it must be copper based. Many people already have cat5 cables in their possession or make them up themselves. Alternatively they are widely available on the internet or from computer shops. You need to be a safe distance away from your fireworks and therefore will require a cat 5 cable at least 8m long for use with garden fireworks and at least 25m long when using display fireworks. The Launch Kontrol Pulse remote firing system has a range up to 30m. Each Launch Kontrol Pulse firing board will fire up to 4 fireworks and additional boards can be connected together to expand the system. To ensure that your cat5 lead works with the system we recommend purchasing additional e-clips with your set so that you can test the system prior to using it for your display.

With our experience of using this system we have a few hints and tips for you - We have found that the traditional copper coloured top Duracell battery works best (even some of the Duracell 'professional' batteries have not worked). Connect the e-clips to the fireworks last, if you connet them first and then run your cable down the garden you could pull the e-clips off the firework fuses. Buy a pack of portfires to test your Pulse firing set with before the big day!
